Question 1

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Request your free preview. Tell us about your business, and we'll build your site so you can see it. If you love it, it's yours for $799 one time, plus $19.99 a month for hosting with the domain in your name. No card needed for the preview.

Question 2

I got an email with a demo site for my business. What is it?

Accepted Answer

PageTruck builds demo websites for local businesses that don't have one yet, using public information like your business listing and social pages, so some details may be out of date. Our emails come from Jason, PageTruck's AI assistant. If you like the demo, reply to the email to claim it or ask for changes. If not, you can ignore it; every email from us includes a way to opt out, and you can ask us to take the demo down anytime at hello@pagetruck.com.

Question 3

How long until my site is live?

Accepted Answer

You see your finished site first. Once you approve it and pay, we make up to 2 rounds of corrections, connect your domain, and launch.

Question 4

What if I don't have a logo or photos yet?

Accepted Answer

No problem. We work with what you have, and we can add your logo and photos during your corrections before launch, or later.

Question 5

How much does a website cost?

Accepted Answer

$799 one time for the build. That covers design, writing, launch, and connecting your domain. Hosting is separate: $19.99 a month for hosting, SSL and your domain in your name, or a care plan that includes hosting.

Question 6

Is there a monthly fee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A live site needs Hosting at $19.99 a month, or a care plan (from $39.99 a month) that includes hosting. You pay for one or the other, never both. Hosting covers hosting, SSL and your domain in your name, and we quote changes one at a time. Care plans add monthly edits.

Question 7

Do I need a care plan?

Accepted Answer

No. Hosting ($19.99/month) keeps your site online on its own. Care plans include hosting and add edits, for owners who want regular updates. Basic Care ($39.99/month) includes 2 small edits a month. Plus Care ($69.99/month) includes 5 small edits plus 1 new section or page a month. Pro Care ($129.99/month) includes 10 small edits, 3 new sections or pages a month, priority updates, and a quarterly design refresh.

Question 8

What's a small edit?

Accepted Answer

A change to text, photos, hours, prices or menu items on existing pages. Basic Care includes 2 a month with updates within 2 business days. Plus Care includes 5 and Pro Care includes 10, with updates within 1 business day. Unused edits don't roll over.

Question 9

What if I only have Hosting, or need a bigger change?

Accepted Answer

We'll send you a one-time quote, and we start only after you approve it. Your monthly price never changes because of a quote.

Question 10

How do changes work?

Accepted Answer

Email us what you'd like changed. We make the change, send you a preview link with a summary of what we changed, and publish it only after you approve.

Question 11

Are there setup fees or other costs?

Accepted Answer

No setup fee on top of the $799 build. After launch, your site needs Hosting ($19.99/month) or a care plan. If we register your domain, we cover its yearly registrar fee while you have Hosting or a care plan. If you already own a domain, it stays with your registrar, and its fee stays yours.

Question 12

Who owns my domain?

Accepted Answer

You do. If you already have a domain, we connect it to your site, and it stays with your registrar. If not, we register one in your name, with your own email address, and cover its yearly registrar fee while you have Hosting or a care plan.

Question 13

Can I move my domain away?

Accepted Answer

Yes, anytime. It's registered in your name, so you're in control. We'll never hold your domain or block a transfer.

Question 14

What if I already have a domain?

Accepted Answer

Keep it where it is. We'll connect it to your new site. It stays with your registrar, and its registrar fee stays yours.

Question 15

What content do I own?

Accepted Answer

All of it. Your text, photos and logo, and the page text we write for your business, are yours.

Question 16

Can I get the full site files (HTML, CSS, images)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once your build is paid, your full site files are yours. Download them anytime, free, and host them anywhere you like. There's no waiting period and no buyout fee.

Question 17

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Email us at hello@pagetruck.com or reply to any email from us. No phone call needed. You can cancel Hosting or a care plan anytime. It stops renewing, and a care plan's edits continue until the end of the month you've paid for.

Question 18

Is there a cancellation fee?

Accepted Answer

No. There's no fee to cancel Hosting or a care plan.

Question 19

What happens if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel anytime by email at hello@pagetruck.com, no phone call needed. Your content and full site files stay yours. You can download them at no charge while we host your site and for 90 days after.

Question 20

What's your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Care plans: 30-day money-back on your first month. If you cancel within 30 days of your first care plan payment, we refund that payment in full. Website build: you see and approve your finished site before you pay.

Question 21

Will my site work on mobile phones?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every site is mobile-first, meaning it's built to look great and load fast on phones first, then tablets and desktops.

Question 22

Do I get an SSL certificate (https)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SSL comes with Hosting ($19.99/month) and with every care plan.

Question 23

Will my site work with Google?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We build every page with search engines in mind. We can't guarantee rankings or customers (nobody honestly can), but we build sites the right way.

Question 24

Can I add a blog or online booking?

Accepted Answer

Our sites are built around your business: services, hours, map, menu, reviews and contact. Blogs and booking systems aren't included, but we can quote custom add-ons.
